Re: http://www.bcpuniversity.org/ UEWAM seems to be the American Institute of Alternative Medicine, and the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT) accredited the school. They “were” approved for financial aid with the U. S. Department of Education. Is ACCSCT legit/recognized? Their curriculum meets the educational requirements of the Ohio State Board of Proprietary School Registration, National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) certification examination requirements and the Accrediting Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) requirements. Can someone verify this? Do they offer distance education?
The ACCSCT directory of accredited schools lists the following: American Institute of Alternative Med. 6685 Doubletree Avenue Columbus, OH 43229 School Number: 070382 Last Accreditation: 11/1/00 Next Accreditation: 11/1/05 Contact: Ms. Linda Fleming-Willis Licensed Massage Therapy Prof. Master's Level Acupuncture Tuina Massage How is University of East-West Alternative Medicine in Hawaii related to American Institute of Alternative Medicine in Ohio?
The sites are very similar. But http://www.aiam.net/ has a picture of a massage, whereas http://www.bcpuniversity.org/ has a picture of what appears to be marijuana????
Tuina massage? Sounds fuishy to me. Seriously, Jeff, it's enormously gratifying to see this methodical destruction of crooks and scammers. So much of this stuff seems to take place along the interstices of adjoining cultures--where people aren't really familiar with the "other", it's easier to fake things.
