Is anyone taking actuarial exams? Is there any school which offers DL bachelor or master's degree in actuarial science?
Um, my partner is an affiliate of the Institute of Actuaries, and he's never mentioned anything in the UK. However, the Institute's web pages do link to a private tuition provider who coaches for the Institute's professional exams http://www.acted.co.uk/ -- mind you, if they're part of BPP, they aren't going to be cheap, as I've found out when looking at BPP's pricing for the Investment Management Certificate. The Institute web site also gives a link to this page http://www.math.ucalgary.ca/~scollnik/balducci/ari.apia.html which lists a decent proportion of the academic programmes in actuarial science in the western hemisphere.
