San Francisco Technical UniversityDoes anyone know about this one? Seems to have a strangely defective web-site.

 

I didn't have much problem navigating the site, but the content is pretty poor. I did find the following disclaimer:

Accreditation Disclaimer

"San Francisco Technical University is not accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Secretary of Education. Students who wish to transfer credits to an accredited institution or seek a position that requires an accredited degree should be aware that in most cases our degree will not be accepted. This fact should be considered when deciding on our educational programs."

I live in the Bay Area and have never heard of this school.

I know all about being up on degreeinfo at the insomniac hour. As a matter of fact once, before I was a mod, Kizmet (who was a mod when she made the post) advised me to go to bed and get some sleep.

 

Well, the original poster's link seems to be broken. Last night, I googled San Francisco Technical University for you. One website said that SFTU's website was active from 2003 to 2009. Another website was a discussion board where it was pointed out that SFTU is/was unaccredited. Yet another website was a discussion board that called SFTU a degree mill.

 

Yeah, the problem with all that was that I was making that post because I couldn't sleep either.:sleeping:

 

Of course the other aspect of that problem is that it is hard to go to bed when someone is wrong on the internet.

LOL Im glad you like the old threads popping back up. There's just so much good stuff to read!! I find myself doing searches on random things and getting all kinds of goodies. LOL

 

Even though it is San Francisco Technical University, SFTU, I am just dying to slightly anagram their acronym. STFU, San Technical Francisco University or substitute another STFU word.
