Does anyone have experience or opinions on Southern New Hampshire U. I am interested in the Accounting BS. They claim to be ACBSP, but the program seems very easy.

The minimum acceptable score for CLEP's seems pretty low. Most are under 50.

Classes typically require participation only 3 times a week, however they award 3 sem. credits for eight week courses.

    Exams are not proctored.

Does this seem less than challenging to anyone? Or is this typical of online classes?

I have searched the threads but couldn't find the info I am looking for.

Southern New Hampshire University was formerly New Hampshire College, they "upgraded' a few years ago.

They are a solid, rather generic school. They have a decent reputation in New England, but nothing spectacular.

Sounds like a state school, but actually is private.

There is a sattelite campus/office just down the road from where I live (Nashua, NH). From what I remember, if you are military it's a pretty good deal because it just takes 1 online class to be considered "fulltime" for VA purposes.

However, according to my correspondence with admissions, they allow only 15 s/h to be earned through standardized tests.
Some of the accounting courses are actually 16 weeks in length.
Shhh......we must take care not to wake anyone. ;)
Except for the fact that the exams are not proctored, it is similiar to the Upper Iowa University accounting program.

That's right but you receive 6 credits for those courses.

    Is that good or bad?
