It's an excellent university, and it's online law program is pretty good. You will find a lot of information here, http://www.malet.com.

Are you residing in the US?

Apparently the school has a very good reputation. You have to be aware that it is an "external" degree, which in the case of UoL means that you will not get tutor support. They will send you texts and study notes. You can either rely only on that or enroll with an outside distance learning provider. A couple of links are as follows:

    www.spr-law.com
    www.lawtutorsonline.co.uk

Either one will cost you about GBP 650 annually in addition to the university fees.

As mentioned elsewhere www.malet.com also has a lot of useful information. They are also affiliated with a US based tutoring group.

    Hope this helps.

  4. Probably the most prestigious federal university in Britain, a University of London degree is very well worth having. They have been running external programs for many years and their LLB is established and academically respected on a universal basis as a first English law degree.

If you intend to practice law in England, you should be aware that a further period of vocational training post-LLB will be necessary.

If, on the other hand, you simply seek a sound grounding in the principles of English law, this is a first-rate option. I would recommend investigating the option of learning via a part-time course provider, since a number of tutors who prepare students for these degrees are present or past legal practitioners themselves whose experience might well be valuable as you learn.

I assume that "Atlanta" means Georgia. If so, be cautioned that the London LL.B. wil probably NOT qualify you to take the Bar examination in any of the United States. It might be a stepping stone to an LL.M. from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association that might make you Bar eligible in SOME states.

As to the school itself, I just registered in their LL.M. program in criminal law and criminology.
