I'm interested in pursuing a master's degree in mathematics. Thanks to some hard work and the help of some people at degreeinfo.com I've found some good ones. The University of Southern Queensland and Texas A & M both come to mind. I've also heard about the Union Institute. You can design your own program with the help of a faculty advisor. My question is, are there other reputable, accredited schools that offer programs similar to the Union Institute.

Yes; Goddard College and Lesley University come immediately to mind, but I believe there are others. If you have access to a 15th edition Bears' Guide, flip to the "Individualized" entry in my subject index.

    Good luck!

    Cheers,

I'd attended Goddard's on-campus undergrad , which is now defunct. Frankly I wouldn't recommend Goddard. There's a chance that the school will fold entirely due to insolvency a/o loss of accreditation.

Goddard has become increasingly radicalized over the past several years. The curriculum is explicitly ideological. Their credits are virtually worthless and the quality of the teaching staff is highly variable, to put it politely. I doubt that there's anyone there capable of overseeing advanced work in mathematics - well eco-feminist mathematics perhaps.

I would advise you to investigate any 'alternative' school very closely. For whatever reason these tend to be stridently ideological , most don't provide what I'd consider to be credible academic programs. They're like the hard left's answer to Bob Jones University. You'll have a hell of time trying to get another institution to take your degree seriously if you choose the wrong institution.

avoid the New College of California as well.
