Hello, can anyone recommend a high quality graduate certificate in online teaching that can be completed in less than one year?

Does anyone have feedback about the program at UCSD: https://extension.ucsd.edu/courses-and-programs/online-teaching-certificate

Based on the program description it does not seem to specifically focus on students who want to teach online at the university level. The emphasis seems to be on community college and K-12?

The University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign and Springfield) have a ton of stuff you can look at:

The non-credit "Master Online Teacher" offered through the Illinois Online Network: Illinois Online Network | Tutorials | Master Online Teacher Certificate

    Another non-credit option is:

    Illinois on Coursera
e-Learning Ecologies: Innovative Approaches to Teaching and Learning for the Digital Age
    https://www.coursera.org/learn/elearning

If you insist on taking a program for-credit, then I would suggest:

UIS - Online Higher Education Pedagogy
Certificates/Endorsements – Master of Arts in Education - University of Illinois Springfield - UIS

All of the below are available as graduate certificates:

Illinois - Management of eLearning for Workplace Learning & Training
Management of eLearning for Workplace Learning & Training (HRD) | College of Education | U of I

Foundations of eLearning in Higher Education
Foundations of eLearning in Higher Education | College of Education | U of I

    New Learning
New Learning (LDL) | College of Education | U of I

University level - particularly for Masters level courses and perhaps major courses at the Bachelors level as a second priority.

Thanks Gabe. I will go through the resources that you mentioned. Any opinion about the UCSD option I mentioned in my first post?

Unfortunately, I don't; however, as I'm sure you know, the University of California system is well-regarded and the name recognition is far and wide.
