Considering it I found this degree last month and stumbled on this thread today while looking for more info about the program. Not a lot of info available about it but it is regionally accredited. Just submitted my application, if I decide to go through with it I'll provide some feedback about the experience.
That was my thought about this one, too. The other interesting piece of this one is that, when looking at the classes, it is not education focused, but healthcare management focused. Also, their 2 year claim is a bit deceiving, as they mean 2 years full time or 3 years part time.
I'm glad you mentioned this. There are very few people on this board who can fit a full-time doctoral program into their lives.
That's probably true, but that doesn't make it deceiving, even a bit, to say that it's a two year program when it can be done in two years.
Wow! A doctorate with only 44 credit hours? Around 60 is the norm. HLC was really lenient with this one!
TEKMAN, I just finished up my Ed.D in Org Leadership from Northeastern. Truer words have never been spoken, though they took a entirely different route. All of my cohort members had Masters, at least 10 years experience in their field and we had to write a paper just to get into the program. All that with a $650/credit charge that eventually went up to $850/credit before I graduated. I really enjoyed my time with NEU, but the online class sizes were large and the faculty was always slighty smaller than it should have been. The EdD program was a cash cow, but NEU status as a top 50 school is worth it.
I'm in a 2.5 year program now. And yes this is a cash show for the university. I was surprised to find out Miami only started their first online program in 2016. Super late to the game.
