Well, they're an ACU member, which is usually a very good sign in terms of recognition.

At first glance it's a bit like UNISA. Coursework undergrad degrees, Masters by research and/or coursework, Doctoral degrees by research. A wide range of subject areas. My concerns: no listed faculty members, cost info hard to find. (haven't found either yet)

Would have been an excellent option if they would only call it Asia University.

I agree that the name is an unfortunate choice. I can only imagine that it comes across differently in that part of the world.

It is quite passe actually even at this part of the world. It's about the only institution (not necessarily in education) that still glorifies the "e" prefix like it is some Godsend.

Couple things i discovered about Asia e University's PhDs. Total cost comes out to about US$15,000. No maximum time limit for the research process (have to pay an additional $1,000 per year to continue on beyond 4 or 5 years). Was started after 33 Asian nation international dialogue, as a means of creating greater support and collaboration among regional nations, many of which have very limited good higher education options.

That's a bargain, but the name is absolutely atrocious.

Agreed. No need to call it an "eUniversity." It takes away the guess of whether you completed your program online. That's why I prefer traditional universities that offer online programs.

But you're not the target market. Their success suggests that their name rings very differently to non-Western ears.
