I read somewhere that a student cannot get the same degree twice from different schools. Can a student earn multiple MEds or MATs, such as an MEd in Special Education and MEd in Curriculum and Instruction?

    ABSOLUTELY!

In fact, several of my teacher friends have 2 MEds. Regarding the rule you mentioned, the rule I have heard from some (most?) schools is that you cannot get the same degree in the same subject, regardless of whether it is from the same university or not. So you cannot get an MEd in special education from Illinois State University, then get ANOTHER MEd in Special Education from another school.

However, I have seen even this rule violated. Here is the most obvious example. This guy has 29 legitimate college degrees (don't try this at home folks):

Of-course Yes, one can get mutiple MEds, where its depends on the stream student follow.
