I've been considering an online doctorate for a while. Both my masters were done online. I live in Asia but am an American. I was looking at West Georgia but their program required a couple of days of residency and that's simply not feasible for me I was also looking at Cumberlands but they have weekly chat sessions. I just don't see that happening with the time difference and a young child at home. I'm looking at University of New England in Maine. Some pros for me are that it can be done fully online and in three years. Including the diss! They also don't require the GMAT. costwise it's about double what the one from Cumberlands is. Anyone have any experience with this uni? I tried doing a search and couldn't find anything. If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
My daughter just graduated with her master's degree from West Georgia. I might write to them to ask if there's an alternative since you live on a different continent before writing them off. There might not be, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. It's really a great price.
Thanks! I'll have to re-check them out then. I"m also looking at Open Uni in the UK. Looks pretty good. Still would have to go for a weekend, but it would be in June or July, so more feasible.
If that's because you'd never be able to make them, then that's probably a problem. If it's because you'd hit and miss, you may want to ask the program director when he thinks. So far in three courses all have said if I miss a session I can just view the recording without penalty. And they would take place early morning Asia time, so they probably wouldn't interfere with when you teach.
Yeah. It would have to finish before 745am Korean time since that's when I leave for work. I think I might have to keep searching. UNE might be it but I think they also have real time classes as well.
