certificate/college programs to help bad writers improve?

Are there any inexpensive college/certificate programs out there that will help me become a better writer? I feel that I need to go back to school and learn the fundamentals of writing research papers before I continue on with my educational goals.

i have to pay this out of my pocket as well so cost is a huge consideration.

    Thanks!

Charter Oaks State College Cornerstone Course does this...I think it's why they make you take it first....for that matter any Freshman English Composition class would likely do the trick.

    What's the end goal?

the end goal = completing an MBA .

I'm retaking my first Business Ethics course at Trident, but i still stink at writing. I can understand math, science, and other things....but I just can't put my thoughts down on paper very well.

It has been a long time since I have taken an english composition course. My first idea was to find a certificate program in english comp, or free courses.

    Free

ENGL001: English Composition I « The Saylor Foundation
ENGL002: English Composition II « The Saylor Foundation

If you need credit for an undergrad degree....then you should take them for credit though.

I don't need it for credit....but a certificate of completion would be nice. Hopefully these free courses have someone on the other end providing actual feedback on my work.

There are many courses introduced on content writing. People are also doing courses on copy writing. These courses improve your skill. However, according to me, the best remedy is to
    1. Learn Grammar.
    2. Start forming big sentences correctly.
    3. Start writing a grammatically correct paragraph
    4. Think of writing good English.
Start it at your home, you don't need to waste money and energy in any institute for any course.

MBA writing is different than writing in other areas as the key is to be concise. I feel like writing for liberal arts concentrations involves a lot of fluff, fluff is frowned upon in business writing. That said, I'd look for a business writing course as opposed to English composition.
