Walden University just received NCATE accreditation for their Education Degree programs. This is very good thing! I highly recommend Walden, especially to teachers seeking their Master's Degree.

First of all, I would like to congratulate to Walden University on its NCATE accreditation. Obviously, Walden University is a decent solely distance learning school. However, I would not recommend the school for Master level when there are many B&M schools offer M.Ed via distance learning degrees.

Yeah, I wouldn't recommend Walden. Instead, I would go to American College of Education (ACE about $7K for thew whole program) or Morningside College (@ $190 a unit x 36 units = $6,840) as they are the cheapest degrees out there for a master program in education.

I believe ACE is an accelerated format which may serve a purpose for those who like quick classes.

Interesting. I would certainly opt for the less expensive school if it was a good fit for my needs, desires and requirements in an online program. Some school districts now require the selected school to be NCATE accredited for reimbursement purposes, etc.
