    Hello all,

I am really looking for personal experience from anyone who is doing or has completed the Master or even Doctorate in Higher Ed Admin through Northeastern's online programs. I have a Master in TESOL but my career goal is to stay where I am now (International Admissions) and climb the ranks.

I originally found Northeastern's EdD when they offered the International Higher Ed Admin specialization, which was very exciting until I found out they were discontinuing it. Now I'm wondering if I should even bother with the Master or just go for the Graduate Certificate since I can't specialize.

    1. How many classes per quarter did you take?
    2. How was the work load and did it ever negatively affect your day job responsibilities?
    3. Was there much need to "meet" online with group members for assignments or were most assignments done individually?
    4. What is the culminating project like? (Is a comp exam an option or is the Capstone like a Thesis?)

Honestly, I'm not a strong writer/researcher so any assignment over 5 pages comes out very weak. :frown:

    Thanks in advance for advice!

Popping back in even though no responses. :(
I thought I had done a thorough search of the forums for information already, but if there is something I missed, please feel free to point me in the right direction for the information I'm seeking. On the other hand, perhaps there just isn't anyone on this forum currently who is doing or has done the programs in question?

I've decided to apply for the Graduate Certificate anyway, and try to take 2 classes per quarter. Hopefully, I can manage to complete the whole program before next fall (if I'm allowed to register for 2nd half of the Winter session).

    Thank you!
