Smile Distance program for educational psychology statistics course

    Hi guys

I am a Ph.D. student and my program requires 2 semesters of intro to psych via an ed psych course. Basic stuff: variances, correlation, regression, ANOVA etc. Can any of you recommend an accredited and reasonably affordable online course?

Hi zb1, welcome to Degree Info. Here is a previous thread dedicated to that topic. It's rather old, but I suspect that most of the programs it mentions are still viable. http://www.degreeinfo.com/distance-l...e-courses.html

    Hi

Thanks for the link. However it is a 2005 thread and many of the links are broken. Also, I specifically need a Ph.D. level statistics course with the contours I just described.

    Thanks

So your school requires a course that they do not offer themselves?

    Hi

They do offer it. However I have a learning disability and the class just whizzes by much too fast. I'd like to find an online version that I can digest in small pieces.

You might try the University of West Alabama - they have such a course, it is a Master's level course but it might work. They use 10 week terms, will that fit into your plans?

OK, I guess I was confused because you said you wanted a face to face course or a hybrid course in the DC area and now you're saying you want a DL course. Sorry if I'm a bit slow here but what is it that you're actually asking? Will your current program let you sub in another course? What program are you enrolled in? Does the course need to have a specific prefix?

Almost any doctoral program is going to offer a doctoral level statistics course but I'm not sure you will find one that has a very slow pace. I would suggest that you buy the textbook and study well ahead of the class. I did that for statistics in my doctoral program and it was a breeze.

    Hi there

Do you have a link for the course? I don't know if it will work bc there are specific requirements- knowing everything from means/medians to ANOVA and ANCOVA. If it covers that it can work. The 10 week timeframe- does that mean a once a week class like here or 10 weeks of material you can do over time? Or once a week but you can access it over and over again?
