    Hello,

I was reading some of the post and I ran across a school Northcentral University. I became curious so I went to the home page and looked up some of there degree programs and I noticed that they had a bachelors or science in bussiness administration with a concentration in applied computer science(boy! that a mouth full) But my question is this has anyione taken this program? This is an very intresting idea for a degree although I am not sure where the focus is set I view the courses for the degree and they are strong bussiness classes but the core has alot of good computer classes ,but I didnt see any programming classes. So is this a management degree or is it computer science degree ? How is the course work ? Is this a watered down computer science degree or a pumped up computer science management degree? I see this school regionally accredited. I looked on the website for explaination of the degree and there really was'nt one that I copuld see anyway( maybe I over looked it ). So if any one has attended this school and or this program please post and cure my curiousity.

Here is a copy of there courses.

I would suggest you to call NCU and talk to one of the academic advisors.

By only going on the classes listed in your post it appears to be a watered down Business Information Systems degree. All of the IT courses appear to be weak IT classes covering just general knowledge. In a typical BIS degree one would expect to see at least a course or two in basic programming and other "techish" courses.

To really get a feel of the situation one would have to look at the description of the classes.

    manjuap ,

I would call them if I knew they were'nt going to keep harrsing me all the time. I am really just curious I not looking to enroll in any other program antime soon Im still trying to finish my bit at aiu .

    Jallen,

I was thinking that too ! I have never seen any computer science degree that did not acore programming element . I not downing the school but they may need to do a overview of there degrees I know if I down know what it is a human resource is not because shes not a techie ,I am ! but it is an interesting concept for a degree if they made it stronger and give it more of a focus they may have something.such as

Bachelors or bussiness adminstration with a concentration on Managerial computer science and computer science concepts

that sounds like a stronger degree

Bachelor of Bussiness administration with an emphisis on managerial computer science structure and computer science technology

this is the current degree compare both degree and wtih this title and maybe that will explain my point a littel better

    Bachelor of Business Administration
    Applied Computer Science
