    I know its EXPENSIVE! :D

I believe UMASS Lowell has a BS program in IT that's completly online. They are not exactly cheap either but they are less expensive than UOP.

    Hope this helps.

I attended UOP BSIT program from 7/2000 - 11/2002. Some drawbacks were:

    A. Expensive (Although I was fortunate that my employer paid)
    B. Took a long time. They wouldn't accept my MCSE and they only
accepted about 30 out 75 credits from my AAS degree. So I
had to cram in 90 credits in 2 years and 4 months.

If you have an MCSE or have an AAS, there are quicker and less expensive options. Such as bellevue.edu

The positive side was that UOP had:
    A. Current customized textbooks
    B. Excellent advisors
    C. Was well organized
    D. All instructors had to have a masters and 5 years experience.

I am applying at UMass L and I think the average 3 credit online class runs about $800. No that's not cheap by any means, but it's much cheaper than UofP and a lot of other schools that consider online students the same as out of state students. :(

I attended UoPhx from 12/99 through 5/02 and graduated with a BSIT in 6/02. I like the program and have recommended to others, however at $422/credit + books it is very expensive. I received 100% tuition reimbursement from my employer, so cost was not a factor for me.

The curriculum is very up-to-date and relevant to the "real world." The 5-week classes sometimes are pretty intensive (especially the programming classes, due to the number and frequency of the projects) but I like the concept of taking one class at a time.

MBA and Ph.D. in the same year

    Hi mbastudent,

I am just curious how you can get your MBA and Ph.D. in the same year??? Does NCU stand for Northcentral University? How is their Ph.D. program?

Sorry for the confusion. I am getting my MBA in July 2003. I then plan on starting at Northcentral University in July of 2003. I don't know much about Northcentral except that I am glad it's regionally accredited and has a completly distanct PHD in Business with Manangement Inforamtion Systems emphasis. When I talked to NCU, they seemed pretty confident that my MBA from AIU would all transfer to their PHD in Business. So I will only need to complete 56 credits for the PHD. 32 in classes and 24 in dissertation. I am planning to have the PHD by 7/06

    The Title of Ph.D.

    Hi mbastudent,

There is no need for apology. It doesn't bother me at all.
It's just that TUI, where I currently pursue my Ph.D., is very strict in terms of putting the title after the names.

I don't think mbastudent meant for his list of schooling to be part of his title (more of an agenda of present and future accomplishments).

    Best Regards,
    Bill
