I'm looking for an RA IT degree and have narrowed down my choices to Capella, Bellevue, or Fort Hays State U. (I was considering ACCIS until I visited this forum.)

I'm leaning towards Fort Hays and was wondering if anyone here has actually tried their Virtual College and what their experience was like.

They are very good about answering my emails with real (rather than canned) responses. The price is right, too. The only down side being that it is not accelerated and currently doesn't offer any Microsoft classes (although that may be changing soon).

Anyone out there actually been to Fort Hays or the Virtual College? Any comments appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Thanks Hille!

I would enjoy comments on any of the other schools as well. (Bellevue, Capella.)

    Anyone?

I'm a student in the UMass Lowell online IT program; I have two courses left to graduate. I tranferred from UMUC's BSCIS program which I found to be very disorganized. I'm very pleased with UML and I would encourage you to give it a look.

    bellevue

I have just enrolled in Bellevue's accelerated bs in isst starting march 27, I'll try and let you know how it goes. For my situation bellevue was the best, and the price isn't too bad. My choice was based on the accelerated format (15 mo. for bs), credit for my mcse, and no gen ed reqs. since i have my aas. Also they gave me full credit for my acics accredited degree.

Thanks again everyone. Tenatively, my plan is to apply at Ft Hays, mainly because it is a Bachelor of General Studies and will let me study more that just computer courses. This may sound odd, but after 15 years in the IT field, it will be nice to branch out a little and study a few other things.

The concentration for the degree will still be Information Networking and Telecommunications, and I will still go for the CCNA while in the process of getting my degree, but I will also get the chance to do some courses in business leadership and management and a few other things that will help me at this point in my career.

I does scare me me half out of my wits to be starting back to school at age 44, but if not now, when? (All words of encouragement welcome.) :)

I will still check out UML as suggested by David W. And I will be very interested in hearing about how it goes with rwillman at Bellevue. Thanks again for your comments.
