Hi , I am the one who posted first under Cleveland Institute of Technology when I meant to say Cleveland Institute of ELECTRONICS. How well regarded is their training and diplomas from EMPLOYERS ?

  2. I can recall as far back as the early 60's CIE has been around. They have had accredidaton via DETC since the days DETC was known as the National Home Study Council. CIE evolved their electrons program into an Associate Degree status.

From a historical perspective, CIE's main competition was from Capitol Radio Engineering Institute (CREI) which was part of the Capitol Institute of Technology in Washington, DC. CREI was the DL component of CIT and was sold off to McGraw-Hill. Both CREI and CIE enjoyed reputations as providers of top notch electronics education. A military education in electronics and CIE diploma was a potent combination for good job offers coming off active service.
