    Hi everyone,

as stated in my introduction i've got a bachelor degree in software engineering from France and i'm looking for an online masters degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Systems in the US or an Asian University(From China, Korea,etc..) which is really not a problem, on the contrary there are many online degrees out there.
I have found some online degrees already but most of them have courses , often between 2 to 4 courses, that i already took during my bachelor degree and got good grades, so do I have to take them again or can I skip them? I’m asking, because I get different responses from each university which is kind of confusing for me.
Ah yes, if you can advise me a good online masters degree with cheap tuition for international students (cheap fee for each credit hour taken)

Hi lazar - I think you'll discover more than a few threads in this forum discussion those sorts of degrees and so I'll invite you to peruse that material. In the meantime, I'd be curious to see what you know about online degree programs in China. Can you point us to some of those many offerings in China, Korea, etc.?

Which courses to accept for credit is at the will of each university.

Be it a U.S. or Asian university, please be sure to know if it has accreditation accepted where you will be working, presumably in France.

Hi Kizmet, thank you very much for you answer, can you be a little more specific, where are those threads, because the forum is quite big.
Concerning the offer of asian distance learning universities, you have to look for christian private universities, like for example the Assumption University of Thailand. I don't know all names of all universities as i made a list and don't remember the chinese one, but now i'm not home, so i cannot give you the list now. Just search for chrisitian universities and you will find them. Ah yeah, all the christian universities that i found are recognized by the governments of each country, so normally you won't have any problems working with them anywhere.

Thank you for your answer, that's what i thought. Do you know any university which is less strict on their credit acceptation policy?

No, I don't. The most knowledgeable people here would likely not know unless they had personal experience with seeking your same degree.

For U.S. schools, this forum might be a place to ask: Colleges and Universities Forum - Higher education - City-Data Forum That forum is not very popular in this forum but I think it worth a try for your sort of question.

I don't think any Master's programs are going to give you credit for undergrad courses, especially if they were used to earn your bachelor's degree. What they will do is count them as prerequisites. For instance you might go straight to Advanced Operating Systems if you had OS as an undergrad, otherwise you start at Intro to OS. Also, just because the course has the same title doesn't mean it's the same material as an undergrad course. The Master's course will generally be much more in depth. Georgia Tech's OMSCS will accept up to 6 graduate units earned in a prior Master's program, subject to approval.
