I guess it's gotten pretty popular. The low price doesn't hurt with that. Online Degree Hits Learning Curve - WSJ
They just had their first set of grads. Here's an article about them attending commencement: Welcome to Campus. Here Is Your Diploma. Come Back Soon!
It seems to be positive outcome of the program. I am wondering if the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign iMBA would receive the same compliments.
Does anyone have a link to the WSJ article not behind a paywall? I am looking at this program (finishing my BS at WGU, Feb '16) and would love to read this for some context on how the program is working and being viewed by potential employers. Or, if any one has any info on this, please reply. Thanks! This is my first post. Really excited to learn and contribute.
The best place to learn about the program is by reading the Google Plus group: https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/108902554607547634726 That said, there's only a handful of actual grads. Tough to guess what employers think just yet. However, the degree is simply MSCS and you don't have to tell anyone it was online if you don't want to. I think that Masters from a top 5 program like that should pass muster with almost anyone.
P.S. A trick to bypass the paywall is to search the title on Google News. The link from there will bypass it.
