I posed a question over in the MBA forum but was also interested in feedback from the IT side. Would a degree in cybersecurity/information assurance be more useful in a fraud management/security/forensics role or would I be better served by gaining certifications in those areas? I do not have experience in that arena but have been working in software development for 10 years and have some limited experience in level 1 support of hardware/software/telephony and networking.

I am trying to determine if I should pursue a Business track (MBA) with an IT concentration for my ultimate goal of moving into compliance/risk/security within the IT field or stay on the IT path.

I presume you are a female aliciak, and have IT experience. Go for Cybersecurity.
