I posed a question over in the MBA forum but was also interested in feedback from the IT side. Would a degree in cybersecurity/information assurance be more useful in a fraud management/security/forensics role or would I be better served by gaining certifications in those areas? I do not have experience in that arena but have been working in software development for 10 years and have some limited experience in level 1 support of hardware/software/telephony and networking. I am trying to determine if I should pursue a Business track (MBA) with an IT concentration for my ultimate goal of moving into compliance/risk/security within the IT field or stay on the IT path.
This is not my thing but you may want to be sure to read our sticky thread on cybersecurity programs . . . http://www.degreeinfo.com/computer-related-degrees/36346-ms-cybersecurity-programs.html
