Waste. Of. Money. People who are building these for legit companies have the appropriate degrees with regional and professional accreditation. I met the founder of this company in at a conference in 2012 and came away very underwhelmed.
I'm not going to argue about the merits of this particular school but the UAV industry certainly has a bright future!
This August 2012 Washington Times story says, Drone U. rides flight boom (Ben Wolfgang, The Washington Times, August 26, 2012) Red flag. Did the school give the reporter the impression this was "accreditation" in the sense that term is used in its domestic market, the US? A search will show other posts about an unrecognized accreditation claim circa 2012. Now the Unmanned Vehicle University site correctly notes that they are not accredited.
I'm not convinced accreditation is going to be the end all for this particular field but rather competency in getting the job done! It is such an emerging field with huge utility!
