Ok my wife is searching for a program for once she completes her BS in Information Systems Security with AMU. The title of this thread is of a degree she has found that she loves with the New York Institute of Technology. However NYIT is very steep with tuition for the online program being at $990 per credit for graduate programs. With that said I felt I could possibly reach out on here and see if anyone knows of degrees like this that are out there from reputable RA schools with a lower price tag. Her dream is to move into a position of teaching computer/web based security for companies, children, and/or the elderly. Possibly becoming a certified school teach but she is not yet sold on if she wants to do that or not. Here is a link to this programs breakdown. Look forward to any input you can give. Thanks. Curriculum Requirements for Master of Science in Instructional Technology
The ones I have directed her towards are below. The problem is that she is specifically in love with the curriculum for the NYIT degree because of the virtula and online learning environment, social networking, and interactive courseware design classes. I am having a hard time finding anything that closely matches the NYIT degree. Fort Hays State University Instructional Technology - Fort Hays State University Also, Troy has a Masters of Science in Adult Education (non-certifying) with a concentration in Instructional Technology TROY - eTROY - Master's Degree Programs its number 6 on the list. Nova Southeastern http://www.fischlerschool.nova.edu/ms/itde University of Nebraska has a MS In instructional Technology UNK eCampus - Online Instructional Technology Degree | Online Degree | Online College Degree | Distance Learning | Distance Education | University of Nebraska at Kearney
If she has good grades and could get a good MAT/GRE score, she should look at GW's program in Educational Technology Leadership. It's much less expensive than most programs they offer. The Educational Technology Leadership Masters Degree and Certificate Programs - George Washington University (GWU)
I am taking instructional technology courses at my local university, USF in Tampa. The teachers are very nice and helpful. The coursework is interesting and builds real job skills. I can't compare it to other schools I like it. I am probably going to complete the EdS or PhD Instructional Technology at USF.
