Hello all, I just graduated from UMBC (univ of MD baltimore county) with a BA in Political Science and a certificate in Public administration. I have always had a strong interest and knowledge of technology, but chose poli sci in 2008 to become a lawyer. Over the course of college I changed over to public management, and was considering an MPP, but was offered the MISM at Carnegie Mellon. What do you think of this combination? I know it is unique. What are some possible job roles you could see for a person of this background? I know technology policy is one, but looking for specific job roles. Also, is the MISM at CMU even a good idea? Is this a field that really has promise? I see the rise of big data and whatnot making a crucial role for them. Plus, I feel that CMU will give me more technical credentials than other schools. Thank you so much everyone.
