    Hello Everyone,
I've never considered receiving a degree online before today, usually online education is considered as a second tire degree in my country.
I understand the need for such programs and it solves actual problems. but my question is, is there any university out there that provides the same degree to its on campus students for online graduates?

Same deploma and same everything, i.e no one can tell if I attended or got it online ?

    Thanks !

Same on campus as online; the answer is yes. However, no one can tell online/distance learning is "NO." If someone is hiring you; he or she is smart enough to compare you location of employment and school's location. For example, the Master of Science in Computer Science at Southern Methodist University; students do the same work/pace as on campus students. However, if you live in California and the School in Dallas, Texas. Your prospective employers would know if the degree is on campus and distance learning, even though your transcript nor diploma does not say anything about online/distance learning.

Thanks TEKMAN for your reply, I'm started to get more and more convinced with the idea of an online degree.

I'm not trying to hide how I got my degree or lie about it, I just want to make sure that it can be perceived equally to an on campus masters degree.
For example if I decide to apply to a PhD program, or anything like that.

anyway do you know universities that provide this kind of degree for software engineering ?

    Thanks !

    Mr. Me,

Of course you do not to be dishonest to your prospective employers. However, keep the idea of don't ask don't tell. Most of the time, employers do not ask you how to obtain your degree. You only list in your resume, but not the way you earned it. If they ask you during the interview, then tell them the truth; otherwise, do not volunteer to tell them. Yes, you will not have any problem with admission to Ph.D program.

Do you have price range for the degree in Software Engineering? Does school reputation matter? Here are some of the programs:

    University of Southern California
    - Master of Science in Computer Science / Software Engineering
    - Est. Costs: $42,000.00

    Pennsylvania State University
    -Master of Software Engineering
    - Est. Costs: $33,000.00

    Brandeis University
    - Master of Software Engineering
    - Est. Costs: $28,000.00

    Southern Methodist University
    - Master of Science in Software Engineering
    - Est. Costs: $38,000.00

    Texas Tech University
    - Master of Science in Software Engineering
    - Est. Cost: $23,000.00

    North Dakota State University
