I am somewhat unsure on how to proceed from this point forward. A little background information. I am 35 yrs old and am employed as an IT Director. I have completed approximately 70 credits through the conventional college route with the majority of those credits completed in 1989. My goal is not to get a BS but a MS in Computer Information Systems or a hybrid business/CIS degree. I am not interested in completing a CS degree. My programming days are behind me and since I am already a manager, I am more interested in rounding out my credentials with the appropriate pieces of paper that employers require these days.

My main question is, how important is the strength of the undergraduate program for continuation in a graduate program? Some of the online programs in CIS look quite weak and I imagine I can get through them without a great deal of effort. Assuming that I pick a weaker program that is accredited, will it hurt my application to graduate school? Has anyone here completed a degree and found it difficult getting into a graduate program of their choice?
