I have been working in education for over 5 yrs and before that was in the IT/Infosec fields. Currently I am a Dean at a Tech College. I do hold an AAS in CNS, BS in IT and Masters in Infosec. I started my PhD in IT when I was in education as School Chair for IT. Now that I am a Dean and nearing my Comps, I am looking around and seeing what the value of my degree is. Suprisingly it is not worth more than I make now. I make a great living as a Dean and no one in for profit education seems to be valuing the PhD over the Masters. Anyone have any insite into this? Is this really the case. I have asked around and no one seems to know.
