    Hi,
I have been a computer geek for years due to which I lost interest in my academic studies years ago . I left school and did academics studies privately till A levels . Later I did several Microsoft and Cisco certifications and right now I am being employed by an organization on a good position . I felt the need of degree and thought if I dont do it now I will never be able to do it at a later time because you dont get time later as life has other responsibilities etc .

Because of this I got my self enrolled into British Computer Society PGD exams , right now I have 4 modules passed out of 11 and I am waiting for results of 2 modules .

Again I felt this is PGD and not a degree although BCS claims it is equal to Bsc Honors QCA Level 6 . I wanted to ask you guys has anyone been on same track ? Should I stick to these exams and finish this up or get a transfer program into some university . I contacted University of London External programs but they are not offering me that good credit transfer and I may loose a lot if I go for it .

In my field ( Computer Networking ) much emphasis is given to vendor certifications rather than degrees , degrees might be required for immigration purpose or work permit etc . I am from south asia and willing to relocate to a better location .

Has anyone of you done BCS PGD and is it a good alternate to a degree ?
