I am currently enrolled at Southern New Hampshire University with a major in Computer Information Technology with an emphasis in Software Development, but I am currently in the process of deciding whether or not to transfer to Washington State University to pursue their BA in Business with an emphasis in Management Information Systems. Why? Well, mainly because WSU is a better name, and I am worried that the prestige of my university will hinder my ability to find an entry leve job in such a tight economy. I was hoping that some of the intelligent professionals that frequent this board would be able to help me with this decision.

    To provide some background:

I currently live in Seattle, Washington, so WSU is a great choice because it wouldn't appear that I attended online. Currently, my goal is to obtain a position as an IT Business Analyst. I am aware either degree will suffice for this goal, but I am also interested in other facets of the IT industry.

The reason why I am conflicted:

SNHU, while not as prestigious, does provide a lot more IT knowledge than WSU's MIS degree. I do not have a lot of IT know-how, but it appears to be very beneficial when trying to become a Business Analyst that specializes in IT work- I will be able to wear many hats if necessary.

    WSU is AACSB accredited

WSU is better known in my region

    SNHU is ACBSP accredited

SNHU is based on the east coast, and I live on the west coast

Also, I am worried about acquiring internships while in school, this may be easier if I attend WSU? I am not sure on this because it is based about 100 miles from where I currently live.

The courses at SNHU thus far have been painfully easy, however, I have anecdotal information from friends indicating WSU courses are no more rigorous.
