Finally made up my mind that I was going to get into Troy and I did it! They have been so cooperative and helpful. Hopefully they will take the bulk of my transfer credits, but so far so good. Very pleased.

Congratulations! Remember, though, their acceptance of your incoming transfer credit should be part of your decision whether to take them up on that acceptance....

    Congrats!

I spent my freshman year on campus at Troy back in 88/89. Man lower Alabama used to shut off the lights and roll up the sidewalks about 5:30 every afternoon. On the weekends just about everyone went home...I lived a little too far away to go home every weekend. It was two drab and dreary semesters for me (actually they were on 1/4's back then).

Absolutely great experience...but only in hindsight. :)

I'm sure you will be very happy with them, I hear great things.

    Best,

    Mike

Thanks everyone! And yes, I agree SteveFoerster, I definitely need to see what they can do about my previous credits. So far, they haven't done a full assessment of my transfer credits, but stated that I should be receiving an evaluation via email plus a degree outline. They've been great at responding to my emails quickly, so I'm hoping that if I have any concerns, they will get them answered within an appropriate timeframe. I know for certain that they take CLEP, DANTES, etc., so if they aren't able to accept some of my credits, that's always an option.

Yeah TEKMAN, very excited! I'll probably be looking to you for guidance. Glad you seem satisfied with the school overall; I'm hoping I'll feel the same. :)

Troy University is a little picky comparison to the Big Three; however, I was very satisfied with the transferred credits. Remember non-academics (Military Training, Certifications, CLEP and DANTES) credits are considered as lower division up to 60 credits, and 30 credits from upper division (remain 30 credits must be completed at Troy University, aka 30 credits residency requirement). I completed the remained 60 credits within 24 months, and graduated.
