Which graduate program would you choose? I will be to entering the IT industry and interested in security. I have been admitted into Northeastern University and waiting on an answer from Boston University. While NEU's program is more specialized in security, BU's program is more broad, thereby opening up more job positions. I have been told IT security positions require extensive experience before companies will hire you.

Northeastern University: Master of Science in Information Assurance

Curriculum | Master of Science in Information Assurance Online | Northeastern University Online

Boston University: Master of Science in Computer Information Systems with a Concentration in Security.

Boston University Online Graduate Degree Courses: Online Master Degree of Science in Computer Information Systems Concentration in Security at Boston University.

Cost is not a factor, but rather employability in the IT industry.

    Your thoughts?

Boston University's graduate program is ranked higher (39) than Northeastern University's (64) and, in my opinion, BU has a stronger academic reputation overall.

However, I find the courses offered through Northeastern's program more interesting. They look more applied than BU's more traditional graduate courses, like Quantitative Methods for Information Systems.
