We are looking for a science class to replace Liberty's Online Biology . This Biology was based on weekly exams and the writing portion was very little. This would be a science class for a computer science major in an Associates degree.

    1. Anyone transferred in a credited science class to Liberty?
    2. Any suggestions for science classes that will transfer? Preferably online?

We did just check with University of Phoenix. They have changed how their classes are designed. They do not give a syllabus and the professor has the ability to change the syllabus and structure of the class. So, no two of the same class will be the same.

I am not sure why they did this, but we need a class that will just meet the science requirement.

    Thanks,
    A4patch.

I'm not sure about computer science majors but I'll share my story.

I transferred in a couple of nautical science classes I had and they were counted as electives. I ended up completing a form to have them evaluated again and they counted them as physical science electives. On my transcript they show up as PHSC 2XX, which means a lower-level physical science class that does not match any classes they offer. All I had to provide them with was a course description.

    Below is the transfer policy:

Sorry if I'm being slow here but I've got two questions:
    1) Are you saying that ANY science discipline will do? Chemistry? Astronomy? Food Science? What is the science requirement? What are your preferences?
    2) What was it that you didn't like about the Liberty course? Weekly exams? What would you prefer?

I’d say contact Liberty and find out which science classes are acceptable for computer science majors. Then find a JUCO and get it done.

Will this be a face-to-face or online program? The reason I ask is because the only computer related online degree program Liberty offers is MIS.
