Graduated with a BS in civil engineering back in '97; didn't apply myself academically but I did apply myself in partying! Hence, my final GPA was below a 2.5...I plead the Fifth on my actual GPA! Currently I am a military officer flying helicopters in the Marines but I have no desire to be an engineer after military service nor do I think that flying LifeFlight is my choice of jobs. What are your recommendations so that I can offset my grades in order to gain admission into an institution and pursue a MS in IT or Comp Sci? Thanks for your time, Rotopsycho
If you can do well on the GMAT or GRE that will often count more than you indergrad grades. Also, some schools discount the first two years. One way is to start taking courses by DL now, and build up a better GPA.
Has anyone turned you down yet? I'd send out a few applications (even at fifty bucks a pop) and see what happens. A Marine officer with a BS in civil engineering is someone whom graduate admissions folks want to talk to. Keep in touch. TommyK
