    Hello,
I am pretty new to this whole forum and posts, but I have been lurking and noticing some "bashing" going on among some concerning past evils with accreditation, and it led me to a question. I have seen here and at another board John Bear highly spoken of because of his book concerning the best online colleges. etc.. And while I certainly do think it is a wonderful book also, this is my question...is this the same John Bear who assumed leadership of Greenwich University in the late 80's? Greenwich is a REALLY bad school isn't it? As far as having a past of misleading students concerning accreditation? I may be totally wrong here, but I had the question and feld sure there were a number of you who knew all about this and could enlighten me.

    Thank you for listening!

Yes, it's the same John Bear. However, you forgot to mention that John Bear hasn't been involved with Greenwich University in 10 years (he was President from 1990-91).

As far as Greenwich being a really bad school, that's highly subjective. I personally always thought of Greenwich as one of the better unaccredited schools until they recently pulled the whole Norfolk Island accreditation thing, which was *LONG* after John Bear ended his involvement with the school.

In short, you bringing John Bear into the Greenwich argument is really pointless. Since he hasn't been involved in the school in the past decade, I really have to wonder what your intentions are in bringing up this thread.
