    Dear Folks,

I'm considering enrolling in UCLA's online Masters in Science Engineering (MSE) program with emphasis in Computer Networking.
I've an undergrad in Electrical and have been looking for an online Masters for a while. I also have an option of pursuing MS in Computer Science from USC.

Can someone please provide some feedback on MSE Computer Networking program offered by UCLA? The program is completely online, degree is accredited, course is condensed to 2 years+1 quarter. The MS from USC takes about 3 years to complete.

Will appreciate prompt feedback. I've already obtained approvals from my company who has agreed to pay for the program. I'm in the final stages of making a decision. Please help.

I have no experience, but when I looked at the program in 2008. I believe the cost is in $30K - $40K range.

    Yes, that is correct.
Cost for UCLA Masters program is 30K, whereas USC Masters would cost ~ 45K.

Can anyone please provide some feedback on the overall quality and ROI (return on investment) of these programs, particularly the UCLA program?
    1) Degree is accredited, though they grant Masters of Science in *Engineering* as against Masters of Science in Computer Science. Is that a big deal?
    2) course descriptions seem okay. Program director assured me that they are the same courses as offered in the full time Masters program at UCLA

I'm however unable to assess the quality of the online delivery mechanisms, and if this program has really helped anyone in their career.

If anyone on this forum has taken the online Masters program from UCLA in last few years, please share your experience.

    Thanks in advance.

There are a lot of schools out there that offer an online degree. My wife goes to Purdue's online school for Masters in Science Engineering in Computer Science. How did you come to choose UCLA? Did you go to undergrad there?
