I wanted to complete MS - Information Technology Management. I am planning to consider TUI University (Touro University International), CA which is RA institution. Any suggestion if I am selecting a good & affordable University. Hope once I complete MS I would be able to pursue PhD in Information Technology Management from any University/Institution with RA. Any comments are welcome... positive or negative..
I completed the MS-ITM and enjoyed it. I was able to complete the program in 15 months and learned a lot. I then went into a PhD program. Do you have questions?
Thanks Randell Which University did you select for your PhD? Does TUI University mention anything like online Master degree on the degree transcripts..
I'm in the MSITM program at TUI, two classes in progress and a Capstone course to go. Feel free to PM me if I can help.
I am working on a PhD from NCU (see my signature line for the link). It does not refer to anything "online" on the transcript.
Ravi, I found the MSITM program at TUI to be challenging, yet straightforward. I really enjoyed the format (CD-ROM) and the fact that the professors are willing to work with you; they understand that most of their students have full-time jobs and families, and may need a little extra time to complete assignments (communication is the key). Overall, it was a great experience that I would recommend to anyone. Good luck!
I am currently enrolled in my third class for MSITM at TUI. Just as several have stated earlier, TUI is challenging yet understanding. TUI has improved on their course delivery by providing related course material via online (Student Coursenet). I was hesitant on perusing my Masters with TUI, but after the first course I knew I made the right decision.
I understand the course structure is 2x 3-4 page assignments per unit at 6 units per course. No Exams, no quizzes. Is this correct? Is this true for all programs at TUI? Are there any other projects or team/class projects? thanks,
Tuition played a huge factor in my decision process. I was looking into Florida Tech or Capella University, but after assess my educational goals; I decided that I wanted to follow the Information Assurance and Security route. I determined that I could complete TUI’s MSITM w/concentration in Information Assurance and then complete Capella’s Graduate Certificate in Information Assurance to reinforce my security background and save some money. I am not sure if this is the best route, but it’s the one that I decided one late night to take after tossing a few schools and degrees around. I also want (eventually) to get some security certs. (CISSP, Security+..etc) hope this helps....
Yes, you are right. There are no exams or quizzes, but that just means case assignments and other course work weighs heavier in the grading process.
