discrete math?

Does anyone know of a DL discrete math course? I would prefer one that I could start at any time rather than conforming to a particular semester. Also one that I can take a-la-carte.

Tangentially - has anyone taken the Algorithms and Data Structures course as part of Harvards ALM program? Does one really need discrete math to survive it (as noted in the course description.)

    Thanks

Texas State University at San Marcos offers a discrete mathematics course via distance education. You must already have passed college algebra. Discrete mathematics is unique in the topics it covers and provide a solid foundation, so you would be well-advised to complete a discrete mathematics course prior to undertaking an algorithms and data structures course.

    Greetings.

Charter Oak State College (www.cosc.edu) has a Credit by Contract Learning program though which you can earn college course credit by studying under/with a "mentor." At least when I took advantage of the program, which was a few years ago, they had a math professor (Dr. Zabek) who was willing to be a mentor. You almost certainly can't find a more flexible means of earning college credit; whether it is otherwise suitable to your needs will be left as an exercise to the reader. ;-)

    Cordially,
