Hello folks I have decided to opt for a school in south africa. Does anyone have knowledge of institutions/schools in south africa offering distance learning bachelors degrees in Information technology, business administration or both? Low tuition cost is important. I intend to transfer credits alongside professional qualifications and work experience, so a degree completion program will be okay. Kindly send in your replies. Many Thanks Sammyk
Hi Sam - Maybe you can tell us what you've discovered in your quest. http://forums.degreeinfo.com/showthread.php?t=26597

South Africa Schools Hi Kzmet, Its not really easy doing these things. I have to consider the best options on ground.I'm considering an MBA also from South Africa and the scandinavia i.e Sweden,Finland, Norway etc. All useful information can help. Thanks Sam
Hi Sam - No one said it was easy. However, if you want information you need to say what sort of information you want. You seem to be stuck but you haven't said what the sticking point might be. What are you looking for in a school? How will you decide between programs? Is it money? Area of concentration?
Thank you Kizmet...thanks for the concern... well, i'm currenlty considering a masters program in the scandinavia (finland, sweden, norway )or south africa because for me cost is very very important. Its along these lines that i need help in whatever way, whatever form. thanks to all my DL buddies and Kizmet Regards Sam
Hi Sam - You're thinking that you might go to one of those European universities for free but I wouldn't count on it. All they have to do is tell you that you have to make one trip to campus and you'll end up paying more than for a South African degree. The only program that you might find that could be less expensive than a South African degree is one in India. They have lots of Open Universities and maybe one would let you in. They're easy enough to find with Google. It might be worth sending off a few emails.
Hi Kizmet- I was considering UNISA but i couldnt find any MBA programs on their website. What are schools do DL MBA in south africa? Rgds. Sam
Hi Sam - With all due respect, you need to search more carefully. http://www.unisa.ac.za/contents/faculties/sbl/docs/MBAinternet.pdf They also offer an MBL degree which is equivalent to an MBA. http://www.unisa.ac.za/Default.asp?Cmd=ViewContent&ContentID=973 As for the other South African schools, I'm not really into business programs so I don't have a listing. There are only about a dozen universities in the entire country, you can run through their websites in a casual evening of surfing.
Hello Kizmet - do u know any 1 year masters degree program in any south african school? UNISA's programs seem to be 3 years!!! Thx Sam
