I stumbled accross this MS in Datamining and thought I would share. http://www.ccsu.edu/datamining/master.html It's the first MS in Data mining I have seen (online or otherwise), and may be worth considering to those with a database background. I understand Stanford, Berkeley (and a bunch) of other schools have certificate programs but I was impressed by this community college's program since it was based on SQL Server/Analysis Services (which I prefer over SAS/SPSS). http://distance-ed.bcc.ctc.edu/degrees/#certificate (see business intelligence for developer/specialist) Pretty cool! Greg
Nice find - thanks! I'm seeing more programs under the "Business Intelligence" classification that address data mining as a portion of the program, but none this specific. Dave
I am not aware of any distance learning PhD specific to data mining (or Knowledge Discovery). I would love to hear that I'm wrong though. ;-) It wouldn't suprise me however that some online programs would offer a Comp Sci/Math Phd with a specialization in KD (similar to how they handled neural network study years ago...) For what it's worth, I'm thrilled that this field has finally gotten some traction. Greg
