I'm taking a pretty close look at Excelsior lately, and. . . the documentation for the technology programs confuses me a little. It would appear you could earn a degree in Technology with a focus on Computer Networking, but I cannot find the computer networking requirements in the program guidebook. Any insights, folks?
According to Excelsior's website, the courses required for a concentration in Network Management are: * Advanced Networking * Network Operating Systems * Wireless Technology * Telecommunication Management * Capstone course in two parts Link: Excelsior College: BS in Information Technology BTW, one of the great things about their online courses is that no proctor is required.
Thanks. I think the bit that had thrown me was that they weren't breaking down the A.S. similarly. They seemed to imply that you could specialize in networking on the A.S. but really didn't go into how. I think what they're trying to say is once you earn the AS, you can basically describe your emphasis whatever way you'd like.
Lot's of times the guidebooks, documents, catalogs etc. are outdated at Excelsior. What you find on their webpage will usually be the most up-to-date information available. Brandon
