  1. I recently graduated from my BS in CIS and I am looking to join a Masters program ASAP. Here are my criteria:

    1) Inexpensive (I spent 60k at DeVry so something around 200 - 300 per credit would be great)
    2) RA
    3) Can accept me with just 7 months of IT work experience.
    4) Not an MBA (I am going for that after I finish my IS degree)

I love learning and this will be the first of two Masters that I am going for.

    Thank you very much :)

  2. One last thing,

I don't want to take the GRE (but if the degree is worth it I might reconsider) and I was hoping to join an open university (I like the idea of open university)

Sorry to be off topic csharp, but did you attend Devry online?

    How difficult would rate Devry?
How did employers see the Devry degree?

I was thinking about thier Sys. Admin. Associates. I would take it online though. I'm not sure if it would be worth it.

    Many Thanks

(Sorry to interupt the thread) ;)

  4. I attended the Federal Way (Seattle) Campus mostly. I did take 2 classes online. My wife has taken more and she says that it is a difficult school (and expensive). Employers just care if you know what you are doing (degree means little in the IT world. The only way a degree matters is if you go to Drexel or MIT). To tell you the truth, look at other distance degrees before you go to DeVry. With a $500 per credit hour tag the price does seem a little bit unreasonable.

We've had a number of threads on this, some recently. If you haven't checked out the Search feature, give it a try -- you'll be able to review some good conversations on this.

    (I'm not saying don't post, I'm just saying it's a good resource.)
