Good afternoon my distance learning partners in crime. I'm about to embark on the journey of obtaining an Excelsior MIS degree, but was hoping to obtain some input first on the ability to fulfill the requirments (db mgmt, network communications, sys anal and design, 2 electives and project, with 12+ going for upper level) strictly through distance learning. Has anyone found DL classes that you can fulfill these requirments through? Will Dantes MIS be accepted as an elective? I've already got the biz lanaguage course fulfilled, as well as all other general and elective requirments, just don't have the means to get over that last leg. I certainly appreciate any input.
You can test out on some of the courses by taking the iccp tests. Excelsior keeps adding dl courses on a regular basis. I don't know about the project, but everything else can be done by testing out.
I was in the BS/IT program for a while and from what I remember not only can you do the distance learning for all of these through various schools, but Excelsior themselves also offer most of these courses. Now if your question was "Can I test out of all these courses" that would take a bit more looking into...
