    Dear Friends,
I am computer engineering with MBA. To explore myself more in IT field, I am planning to enroll in any IT related Master programs i.e. Computer Science, Information System, Information Management etc.

I am looking for cost effective one year residential or online master program.

Can you please suggest some possible university where I can apply?

I like the IT Masters programs from Australia's Charles Sturt University. They consist of twelve courses, but if you have or can get a technical certification then you can apply that as half your degree, leaving just six online courses, easily done in a year. Acceptable technical certifications include MCSE, MCSD, CCNP, Novell CLE, and others.

    Good luck,

    Another possible suggestion:

Basically 9 courses for a grad degree (done in a year if motivated), RA, and affordable by most standards. Good luck!

I got my MS-ITM from TUI in 15 months. The courses were different and more business based but it could be done in a year.

As Eric pointed out, my web site is a good place to start if you are looking for a non-management Computer Science or related degree. However, I just couldn't resist plugging my alma mater since it is starting a new online masters program this fall in MIS. Please check out the following link for an online MS in MIS at Florida State University.

Another program that I like which seems to be fairly inexpensive (with tuition at about $175 per credit hour) is at the University of Illinois, Springfield.

    Thanks for reply.

    Dear Friends,
Thank you all for your kind replies.

Touro University International (TUI) looks good option. Is it community college?

    Waiting for your reply.

    Re: Thanks for reply.

TUI is not a community college. They are a fully accredited (RA) unversity that offers Bachelors, Masters and Doctorates via 100% distance learning.

Now that I know you're interested in a U.S. residential program, you might consider my employer, Southeastern University. We're a small regionally accredited school in the heart of Washington, D.C. Our Computer Science department is very good and has a research contract with NASA (the American space agency). I'm the International Student Advisor, and we have about 150 foreign students here out of about a thousand total.

If SEU might interest you, feel free to contact me by email at [email protected] and we'll get you set up with Admissions, an I-20 form, and so forth.

Do you really get much benefit from a 1 yr masters? I would suggest at least a 2 yr masters.
