I’m looking at ECPI.edu Network/Security program. The curriculum looks good, I can take all classes online and the campus is close enough to allow some play time on their equipment. The cost is to high $30,000 but it seems to be the only “game in town” in my area. I realize not all the instructors will be “interested in developing good students”. But it appears to be regionally accredited so I will hopefully be able to transfer to Excelsior later on. Dose anyone here have any experience with the school or their graduates and will it provide a foundation for a foot in the door so to speak?
In my opinion, $30K is steep for such a program. Are you in VA near Virginia Beach? If so, have you considered Tidewater CC? Some of the courses are offered online. A couple of other community colleges in VA offer online, academic IT programs. As far as providing a foundation for a "foot in the door", I recommend earning entry-level CompTIA certs (A+, Net+) and at least a two-year degree.
There are lot of good school in Virgnia, why EPCDI? Regents University, Old Dominion University, Virginia Tech, University of Virginia, George Mason University, Liberty University, James Madison University, and etc....
