IT Employment Reaches Record High in U.S.

U.S. IT employment reached a record high of 3.472 million workers in the period ending March 31, according to an analysis of data drawn from the Bureau of Labor Statistics by InformationWeek.

The Labor Department considers the following IT-related professions in its analysis: computer and IS managers, computer scientists and systems analysts, computer programmers, software engineers, computer support specialists, database administrators, network and systems administrators, and network systems and data communication analysts.
