Instead of sending jobs overseas, companies are sharing
    call center resources at home.

Good article Jim. I don't think most Americans realize some of their government information is being outsourced to foreign countries. A good is example of this is our Social Security information administered by the Social Security Agency. Believe it or not, we allow other countries access to our supposedly classified government information by contracting out government call center work.

Being pro union, I am opposed to this for a number of reasons. Number one, it sends American jobs oversees. Number two, it takes the oversight of classified information away from American soil, over to a country where we have to trust they do not use our classified information. What do I mean by that? American laws do not apply the same way in other countries. In other words, the law per se is subject to each countries interpretation and laws. If someones misuses your social security information in another country, it is very difficult to prosecute them.

If an American social security worker is caught using information for fraud or other violations, he or she will be dismissed and or prosecuted. It is very difficult to discipline someone oversees, and the cost involved is enormous.

I can go on and on,

    Just my two centavos!
