    Hi folks,

I'm looking for a BS degree program that has these qualities:
    • not focused on Microsoft products
    • looking for a programming/software engineering track that offers C/C++
    • offered by a RA institution
    • not really interested in an institution with name recognition; just want a solid, quality school
    • would prefer something that is <= $250/credit/hour
    • a Texas-based college is preferable (for in-state tuition), but not a requirement
    My background:
I've been in the IT industry for about 12 years and have some B&M college experience (about 60 hours). My experience is from mostly sysadmin/programming/consulting. I have a slew of AIX and Solaris certifications, for what its worth. I don't really stand to gain much financially by persuing a degree, but would like to complete my degree for personal satisfaction.

I've seen Excelsior, Regis and Thomas Edison mentioned in several previous posts. Any input/recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Brandon

I have posted lists, with weblinks, of distance learning bachelor's programs in computer science here before. Perhaps you could click on these threadlinks and go to the weblinks and see if anything meets your criteria.
