They took what use to be a BS in Computer information systems, and several Degrees in IT and changed to all IT degrees with different Emphesis (all of which now include earning the certs that go along). I am somewhat interested in the Database program now, but sad to see the CIS program gone. At the same time I am always skeptical when a program changes course.

It sounds interesting and the cost is not too bad.

I think it is interesting that they are competency based rather than credit based. That could cause a problem if you want to transfer your "credit" to another school. Another interesting point is that it all seems to be pass/fail, so no GPA. Maybe you could almost "test out" of the program. If you get all of the certificates before you enroll, and you cover the general ed with a AA or CLEPs and Dantes, it would cover most of the program.

It is always good to get certificates, although most of the certificates in the program are not exactly "high-end", they would serve a good basis for more "prestigious" certificates.

    Thanks for the link.
